The Public Private Partnership Economics (EPPP) Chair
The Public Private Partnership Economics (EPPP) Chair

The Public Private Partnership Economics (EPPP) Chair is a research group jointly funded by Lyonnaise des Eaux-Suez, VINCI Concessions, Paris Habitat and maPPP. It is hosted by the IAE graduate business school of the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.

The group was established to ensure that company and public authority concerns relating to PPPs are addressed by academic research.

Scientific investigations are conducted on key topics such as competitive tenders, the necessary degree of flexibility versus rigidity in contracts, adaptation of contracts over time, the reputation issue, etc.

  • This research is primarily applied in the water, transport, waste and defence sectors.

The EPPP chair organises research seminars and breakfast symposia at which an academic and a practitioner exchange viewpoints on a specific topic and an annual conference.
