Motorways

VINCI Autoroutes France was created at the end of 2007 as the umbrella organisation for VINCI Concessions’ four motorway companies in France: ASF (Autoroutes du Sud de la France), Cofiroute, ESCOTA and Arcour. Together, its networks represent almost 50% of all French motorways operated under concession contracts.
VINCI Concessions is the world’s leading private-sector motorway operator. Extending the expertise acquired in France, VINCI Concessions is now in charge of the construction, operation, maintenance and upkeep of motorways in Greece, Germany, the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States.
Two contracts have particular significance. The first is the 30-year concession for the motorway between Athens and Tsakona (365 km), which made VINCI Concessions the operator of 600 km of toll motorway in Greece. The second, which followed on from VINCI Concessions’ contribution to the deployment of Toll Collect, the electronic toll collection system for heavy goods vehicles, is the concession for a 45 km section between Gotha and Eisenach (A4) in Thuringia, Germany. This contract is part of the vast A-Modell programme set up to finance the repair and extension of the German motorway network.
