The two bridges over the Severn between England and Wales have been operated since 1992 and 1996 respectively by Severn River Crossing, in which VINCI is a shareholder. The concession contract was signed in 1992 and will end in 2016. It calls for the design, construction, financing and operation of the second bridge, as well as taking over and operating the first one.
