The contract signed by VINCI Concessions includes the design, construction, operation and financing of a bridge between Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick. This 13 km link, which has been in service since 1997, replaced a government-subsidised ferry line. Used daily by 2,000 paying vehicles, the bridge spans a stretch of water that freezes over for part of the year.
