Since September 1st, interoperability has become a reality for Russian car drivers. Thanks to the technical and commercial expertise brought by VINCI Highways, subsidiary of VINCI Concesisons, to Avtodor, the public company handling highway projects in Russia, the launch was conducted successfully on a +700-km highway network throughout the country.

A cooperation among the various road concessionaires and operators now allows drivers to travel freely across the network, thanks to a single transponder and without having to stop at toll gates.

The service will soon be available on new roads, including Moscow-St Petersburg highway sections 7 and 8 under construction, to be delivered by VINCI Highways in 2018.

The World’s number 5 country in total road length, Russia has been committed for several years to an ambitious investment plan to modernize its road infrastructure, thus improving mobility throughout the country. Established in Russia since 2008, VINCI Highways, subsidiary of VINCI Concessions, is now the first private road operator in the country.
