VINCI Highways, concessionaire of Lima’s expressways, supports its first electric mobility pilot project in Lima, putting into circulation a 100 % electric vehicle to supervise its roads and guarantee the safety of its customers. This milestone is part of a pilot project developed jointly with ENGIE Energía Perú.

The electric vehicle will be used for daily supervision work on Lima’s expressways and will travel approximately 160 km a day. This vehicle has zero CO2 impact on the environment and its operating cost is 93% lower than that of a conventional vehicle. This electric mobility project is a first step towards replacing Lima’s expressways fleet in the near future.

As the new concessionaire of Lima’s expressways since end 2016, VINCI Highways has been improving road mobility in the heart of the booming Peruvian capital, shortening travel times, improving road safety and making drivers’ journeys more convenient and customer-friendly. This new initiative in the field of electric mobility confirms its commitment to innovative and sustainable mobility, in line with the VINCI Group’s is commitments towards green growth.
