ViaPlus serves the end-to-end needs of transportation agencies by bringing the full range of back-office technologies for high-volume transactions, customer operations and data analytics. The company, 100% owned by VINCI Highways, is the result of the merger in 2023 of TollPlus and Cofiroute USA.

ViaPlus teams handle VINCI Highways’ existing free-flow contracts in the United States, Europe and India.

In the United States, VINCI Highways, through its subsidiary ViaPlus, manages toll services and customer relations on six highways and expressways in the cities of Austin and Tyler in Texas, of Atlanta in Georgia and on the 91 Express Lane in California.

Since signing the contract in March 2018 with the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority (CTRMA), the independent government agency responsible for managing transportation in Central Texas, Cofiroute USA, which merged with TollPlus under the ViaPlus brand in 2023, has been managing toll services and customer relations on five highways and expressways in the cities of Austin and Tyler. This includes the busy MoPac and the 71 new toll lanes available to drivers who want to reach Austin International Airport. This network totals 30 million transactions per year. Its smooth operation is essential for traffic conditions on Texas roads and for mobility in general.

In August 2018, the North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA), responsible for managing 1,500 km highways between Dallas and the north of Texas, chose ViaPlus (at the time TollPlus) to design, develop, implement and operate its new back-office interface – a major contract aimed at servicing the growing demand for road mobility. The new back office aims to double the number of transactions to manage more than 6 million transactions a day, which represents as much data as the entire French road network.

In California, VINCI Highways renewed its contract at the beginning of 2020 to operate the 91 Express Lane for a period of seven years, with a view to deploying and operating a new-generation back office and a customer relations centre. VINCI Highways has been operating this 29 km highway between Anaheim and Corona since 1995, one of the world’s first “free-flow” highways.

In April 2022, VINCI Highways announced the acquisition of the 70% stake it did not already hold in TollPlus Inc and thus became 100% shareholder.

In 2023, TollPlus Inc and Cofiroute USA merges under the ViaPlus mobility brand, a subsidiary of VINCI Highways.

Since signing the contract in April 2024 with the Georgia State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA), ViaPlus has been managing toll services and customer relations for Georgia Express Lanes, a 66-mile (107km) dynamically priced managed lanes system in metropolitan Atlanta. The agency also oversees the interoperable toll program Peach Pass, which has a customer base of over 788,000 accounts. The mobility network of SRTA generated 29M free-flow transactions in 2023.

To ensure operational excellence, VINCI Highways is drawing on the expertise of ViaPlus to offer a comprehensive package: from back-office management to customer relations, including data collection, payment and transmission to local authorities.
