VINCI Concessions became the concession company for the road network on the Isle of Wight, through Island Roads Services, in which it holds a 50% stake.

The PFI contract for the road network was signed for a period of 25 years, ending in 2038. The project involves the design, renovation, financing, operation and maintenance of 803 km of roads on the Isle of Wight.

One of the aims of the contract is to upgrade and maintain the entire public road network on the island. It is the second PFI contract that VINCI Concessions has been awarded in the UK, after the one signed with the London Borough of Hounslow.
