She was a consultant at the World Bank in 1992/1993, before joining France’s Ministry of Economy and Finance, where she held several positions between 1994 and 2001, and as an auditor of the Cour des Comptes (French national auditing body) from 2001 to 2006. She then joined the culture and retail sector to hold several general management positions: Deputy CEO of France’s National Library (BnF) from 2006 to 2010, Deputy Secretary-General of the Ministry of Culture and Communication (2010-2011) and Deputy CEO of the Réunion des Musées Nationaux-Grand Palais (2011-2018).
Valérie Vesque-Jeancard was appointed Managing Director at VINCI Airports in 2018. She chairs the Supervisory Board of Aéroports de Lyon, the Strategic Council of the Société des Aéroports du Grand Ouest and the Boards of Directors of Aerodom (Dominican Republic) and of Nuevo Pudahuel (Chile); She is a member of the Board of Directors of Coriport (Costa Rica). Valérie Vesque-Jeancard is also Vice President of the Union des Aéroports Français and a member of the Board of Directors of Atout France.
In addition to her position at VINCI Airports, she became President of VINCI Railways in June 2021. She manages the group's assets linked to rail and urban mobility - South Europe Atlantic high-speed line (LISEA, MESEA), GSM-Rail telecom network (Synerail) and Martinique's own site collective transport (Caraïbus) -, as well as the development of concessions and PPPs in this area. She is president of AGIFI (French Association of Independent Rail Infrastructure Managers).
