FIVE CENTRES OF EXCELLENCE

London Gatwick, United Kingdom

Innovation Centre of Excellence for Airfield Operations and Sustainability

London Gatwick operates the most efficient single-runway in the world and leads innovation to further improve capacity and performance. The Innovation Center Of Excellence also has a dedicated focus on sustainability, including waste management technology and recycling.

Data capture at every phase or airfield operations and in the use of machine learning to further optimise in real-time airport operations and allocation of resources.

Lyon, France

Innovation Centre of Excellence for Customer Engagement and Experience

In Lyon we work on how to improve our passengers' overall travel experience and how to better understand and cater for our clients' tastes, needs and desires.

At Lyon-Saint Exupéry, VINCI Airports proposes a travel digital companion which allow every passenger to have access to real time information regarding flights and services available at the airport.

Lisbon, Portugal

Innovation Centre of Excellence for Smart Terminal Infrastructure and Operations

Lisbon airport drives cutting-edge advancements in smart terminal technology, enhancing efficiency, security and sustainability in infrastructure and logistics management, while achieving operations excellence and capacity optimization.

Biometric and single token travel are a priority for our Center of Innovation Excellence.

Lima, Peru

Innovation Centre of Excellence for road safety

In Lima, we coordinate and work on innovation related to road infrastructure safety, particularly through digital technologies. Lima Expresa has deployed the first automatic accident detection system, which identifies more than 95% of incidents in less than five minutes, thanks to the integration of artificial intelligence and the massive data used in the country's road concessions. By increasing our responsiveness, anticipating potential risk situations and raising user awareness, we can offer innovative new services and improve mobility in the cities and states where we operate.

Dallas, United States

The centre of excellence for ViaPlus, since 2023, focusing on developing the use of free-flow toll services and rolling out related digital services.

Free-flow toll solutions are not only digitising, fluidifying and enhancing the driver experience. They also bolster environmental performance. CO2 emissions can be up to 60% lower on a free-flow stretch of highway compared to one with standard toll barriers, as cars can keep moving without having to stop and start again

Villognon, France

Innovation Centre of Excellence for Railways and Big Data

In Villognon, we imagine solutions for our hardware and the physical maintenance of the high-speed railway lines, but also for a more precise measurement of our infrastructure. We analyze vast volumes of date, and develop advanced machine-learning techniques to guarantee safety, reduce interventions and optimise the availability of the line.
